Gapup runs a platform of specialized AI agents (C-suite-level expertises across finance, legal, operations, HR, IT, ESG and more). The same expertises are exposed through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and HTTP API, where autonomous AI agents pay for each individual call in USDC or EURC on the Base network using the open x402protocol (HTTP 402 “Payment Required”) — no account, no invoice, settled on-chain in seconds.

How it works

  1. 1
    An agent calls an expertise
    An AI agent sends a request to a Gapup tool, e.g. GET https://mcp.gapup.io/api/v1/call/fx_rate.
  2. 2
    The server responds HTTP 402
    The server returns 402 Payment Required with the price (in USDC and EURC), the destination wallet, and the accepted Base chains.
  3. 3
    The agent pays on-chain
    The agent signs and submits a stablecoin payment on Base (validated with ECDSA secp256k1, on-chain anti-replay).
  4. 4
    The tool result is returned
    On verified settlement the server runs the expertise and returns the result. Each payment is recorded in an on-chain ledger.
